Character Name: P'trel
Age: 21
Gender: male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Rank: Dragonrider
Craft Specialty: Tailor
Current Residence: Benden Weyr
Appearance: P'trel is a tall young man with a thin, almost willowy build. He has very light brown hair which he keeps relatively short, never longer than his shoulders. His eyes are a pale hazel color. He takes great pride in his appearance and rarely appears disheveled, and he is always impecabbly dressed in clean, well tailored clothing. His clothing is also quite well-coordinated, without obnoxious patterns or overly bright colors.
Personality: At first meeting, P'trel is very shy and quiet. He has a certain suspicion of people and tends to be judgmental when he first meets them. He is quite sensitive and tends to take offense at the slightest remark. And he cries easily, so don't be surprised if he starts bawling when he does get his feelings hurt. Some people find him to be a bit uptight; at the very least, he is a neat freak who sometimes borders on obsessive-compulsive. Everything has to be in its place, and if things are chaotic or disorganized, he feels like something's deeply wrong with the situation. He is very perceptive of his surroundings and often takes offense at things like uncoordinated colors or sloppy table settings. However, he tries to think about other people's feelings and not mention anything. It isn't uncommon, for example, for him to go through an entire dinner staring at a stain on the tablecloth, suffering in silence and never mentioning anything to the host. As far as more personal relationships go, P'trel finds it difficult to trust many people to get too close to them. He is the kind of person who works best with only a few very close friends, and the rest as more remote acquaintances. Once he does get to know someone really well and decides that they are worthy of being close to, he will be fiercely loyal and finds it difficult to believe if the other person finds it easier to betray him. He also tends to hold grudges if the friendship is broken, and he'll rarely forgive a friend gone bad.
History: Peytrel was born in Rugged Hold, the youngest of several children. His childhood was fair enough, though not without difficulty. He never really felt like he fit in with the other children, and they often took advantage of how easy it was to offend him. At one point, it was a sort of game among the older children to see who could be the first to see him cry. He had his friends among them, though, and it's the rare holdbrat that isn't picked on once in a while. When he was about twelve turns of age, he started taking an interest in tailoring, and hia parents encouraged his interest in craft. They found a master who was willing to apprentice him and he was sent to the Weaver Hall. He was soon well known among the other apprentices for his perfectionism and his reluctance to take time off from his work for Gathers and outings. He had friends, but none were particularly close. After a while, he was viewed as a sort of teacher's pet, since he often did the best work due to his obsession with the perfect stitch.
Then a Searchrider visited the Weyr, and he became a candidate. He Impressed to a green named Rath, who seemed sickly at first, but she soon improved under her rider's care. He passed weyrling training with little difficulty, although he did have some problems dealing with the blood involved with feeding his dragon. Luckily, Rath learned how to catch her own food, and now P'trel is just careful to stay away from the feeding grounds if possible. Upon graduating he was drafted into a Wing, and he has been a full rider for a few turns now.

Name: Rath
Age: 3 turns
Color: Green
Appearance: Rath is small, even for a green. She has a very dainty, delicate build and while she is healthy, she appears weak at first. Her hide is mostly a bright primary green, but there are threads of light spring green across her wings. Rath is built for speed, not endurance, and she tires quickly after exercise.
Personality: Shy and quiet, Rath is a very reserved dragon. She can be skittish and she gets nervous around bigger dragons. She is very mild tempered and she rarely gets angry. Not very confrontational at all, she hates to fight and she gets very distressed when she sees others doing so. A bit gullible, Rath has no ear for sarcasm and she believes most everything she hears. Especially if it comes from the mouth of a bronze or gold, for Rath is very obedient to the metallic dragons. Unlike most greens, Rath is not especially flirtatious, except around Risings. If anything she intimidated by overly forward affections from males.
