Post by B'dob and Bronze Thrandath on Nov 11, 2009 11:43:12 GMT -5
Thrandath flew on the other side of the queen from Cinenth as they made the chase, flying wingtip to wingtip. As she began her loop back, he dove, hoping that was her manuver and waiting for her lower than the other bronzes. As she stroked his hide, he made his lunge for her but miss judged the distance and came up short as she shot skyward and he followed with a growl which turned into a bellow as Calarith started to loose ground. He tried to catch up with her again as he had lost ground in his missed catch. He was still behind when Cinenth made his move for her and then he bellowed as he saw Cinenth make his own attemt to catch the queen.
B'dob felt his blood rising as the flight started to reach the climax and he almost couldn't surpress the rising desire that he began to feel for Ria. A low rumble started in his chest as Thrandath bellowed at S'nar's bronze, though his growl was directed at S'nar as he reached for Ria, and stopped.

ooc:// OMG, the end of the flight and now we will have a weyrleader! I am sooooo excited. Remember, we go into blackout after everyone has replied to this round.
Henareth saw, moments before it happened and was oddly pleased with the way the events were playing out. As the bronze reached out to grab her, to make the catch, she twisted in mid air and hooked talons with his. With a massive stroke of her wings she took them a little higher before the fall and the joy of what would come. As the fall began she twined her long neck with his and crooned her acceptance of the catch, how clever he had been, how strong he was, and Cinenth did deserve her.
Ria gained enough of her human perspective back from the dragon trance to walk over to the man she knew that Henareth had chosen for her. She was glad that it was S'nar. He was younger than she was herself, but was that wrong? Stepping up to him, she raised her arms and placed her hands on either side of his cheeks, staring into his eyes. She had chosen, as much as her dragon had chosen.

((YAY))
He had hissed back at the males and when he felt the gold's talons lock with his he used his wings and worked in time with her to carry them one beat higher before then began their fall, he crooned to her, for she was the most radiant thing in the sky nothing matched her brightness, not even Rukbat. He intwined his tail with hers and wrapped him neck with her's as they fell toward the ground.
S'nar snapped to for a moment to reach for Ria and wrap his arms around her waist and he stared into her eyes, yes the queen had made a good choice. S'nar might be the youngest bronze rider, but he knew enough to go to his elders and ask for help. Right now though none of that mattered, he leaned in to kiss Ria...

[OOC: A quick ending post for this thread from my side <3]
Calarith knew he had lost when he saw it. He couldn't help to let out a disappointed roar, before gliding to the ground. He landed, brushing gently along most as Am'r stepped forward to reach him You did well.. He spoke gently in his mind, the bronze lowered his head and nuzzled Am'r briefly, eyes twirling with another color. The Bronze didn't know if he found himself disappointed or relieved Maybe it's better this way, Am'rMine.. The Bronze responded, trying to put up a front. Am'r himself didn't look at Ria and S'nar, he was glad for them.
A smile curled his lips for a moment and he shook his head "Come on, Calarith." He spoke, not bothering to whisper anymore "Then I shall oil your hide, you deserved it.." The Bronze seemed to brighten up at this and followed. His head turning briefly to the couple in the air.
