OOC:// Hey amber, this is the post that relates to what I pmed you about. Mentoe was fine with it. This takes place four or five seven days after the flight. Ria lay currled up on the sleeping couch. She felt horabible and couldn't explain why. It had been this way since the beginning of that sevenday and hadn't let up on her. Each day she would wake up with waves of nausia, so bad that she wanted to call a healer, but it would pass and she had hopes that it was over, but it would catch her doing ordinary tasks durring the day. She had given up on any hopes of accompleshing anything that day, and had currled up under the sleeping furs. She didn't want to sleep, but at mid-day that was the only dark, quiet place she could find without retreating into the abandoned weyr corradors. The blankness she had hoped to find there didn't find her mind like she had hoped that it would and Henareth took notice of her rider's turbulant thoughts. Why does your mind run like a frightened heard beast? There is nothing but fur for you to fill your mind with, as there is only sky outside to fill mine.[/b] Henareth didn't understand, but Ria did give her credit, because under ordinary cercomstancis, it should have made sence, but she couldn't follow her dragon's advice when her belly churrned so.

OOC::Okie dokie
S'nar had been busy with making sure chores were getting done and with keeping the weyr running as days and then seven days passed. For the last few days though he had taken notice that Ria was not with him like she had been in the beginning. And today she had vanished all together. Cinenth where is Ria? She is in your sleeping chamber and according to Henareth she is not doing right. Not doing right? What did the bronze dragon mean by that. But S'nar dropped what he had been doing and made his way quickly to Ria. He had noticed she would feel bad in the morning, but it always seemed to pass and she would go about her day. He reached the bed and gently pulling the furs back. "Ria? Love what troubles you? Cinenth said that you were not right. What is wrong? Would you like me to get a healer?" he was concerned when he saw the look of pain on her face.

Ria had been trying to blank her mind, to overcome the nausia. She had mannaged to squash the need to vomit when she thought she heard footsteps. Henareth? she was discusted to find that even her mental voice was weak, Henareth, who is comming? She didn't know if she could deal with a weyr issue at the moment. It is S'nar. He is worried, worried enough to have Cinenth ask about you. He is good for you.[/b] Even Henareth sounded worried about her, though her mental voice warmed when she spoke her own weyrmate's name. S'nar wasn't a bad visitor, but she felt bad that she had pulled his attention away from his duties. Prewarned, she pulled her legs up to her body and barried her face into her legs, hiding her eyes, hoping it also concealed the greenish tinge of her face. The tenderness in his voice and the concern warmed her heart but didn't quench the nausia, "I don't know what's wrong, Love. I just feal sick." The light was low she relized so she sat up, pulling herself up so she could lean against the cool wall. She tried a small smile, "I'll be better soon, I promise. There isn't a reason to call the healer." She patted the bed beside her, inviting him to sit next to her, she wanted his comfort, not to mention she felt she might fall sideways if she didn't have something to lean against. "What did I pull you away from?"

He watched her every move carefully as she tried to hide the need to vomit from him. "You seem very ill. Did you eat something that could have made you sick?" He asked before sitting next to her and wrapping his arms around her to hold her tight to his body. I really think you need to see the healer or at least let the candidate healer come see you." He said unable to remember the man's name. He thought about having Cinenth ask from him, but decided to wait. "Nothing important, I was just monitoring the candidates as they did chores."...

Ria sank into S'nar's warm embrace, glad that he was holding her close to him. "I am glad you weren't doing anything big, I like you to be here." She was very content, S'nar provided distraction from her nausia. She closed her eyes, slowed her breathing, and she almost fell asleep when Henareth touched her mind. Umm, Ria? You are feeling better right? The strange note to her dragon's voice roused her. "Yes Henareth, I am much better. Are you all right?"[/i] She sat up then, regretting the absence of S'nar's arms, but consern for her dragon overruled that consideration. Ria felt Henareth stand up on her ledge and spread her wings. It is time today, come to the hatching grounds! And with that she leaped into the air, diving sharply downwards and into the hatching grounds. Ria heard, in a comment not intended for her, Cinenth, please bring my Ria, I can not wait for her![/i] Ria tried to scramble out of the sleeping furs with full speed, but nearly fell out on her head. Her legs had still been in the covers as S'nar had sat down so her feet remained trapped as her upper body launched towards the end. All thoughts of nausia had dissapeared at her urgency to be with her dragon. They had done this many times together, but each time was a joining for them. With an elacrity that she didn't know she possesed, she did a roll and kicked her feet free. She didn't care that she was in the leather trousers and not one of her heavy skirts, or that the tunic she wore, (one of S'nar's) was far too big, and not even hers.
The time between her flight from the bed and the moment she stood on the hatching grounds, Ria couldn't have accounted for. Her urgency was so great. But there she stood, on the edge of the grounds, looking at her dragon. Five eggs in that short time, Oh, Henareth, I am so excited.[/i] Her dragon just cruned softly to her and, snaking her head around, flicked Ria with her toung. It is the natural way of things, Cinenth flew me well and I now lay our offspring. She turned her head away, licking each soft shell between laying. She was unaware of the shock that she had instilled in her rider. With soft fingers, Ria wrapped her hands around her waist, her fingers fanning out over her own abdomin. She had avoided this so long, she could hardly believe that her own flight could have turned out so. A small smile creaped over her lips, a happy contented smile. With love in her eyes, she turned to where S'nar stood, her hands still splayed out over her stomach. "S'nar, I think you might be right. I think I should see a healer." There was nothing in her voice, but the mystery of the thought.

S'nar sat holding Ria and smiled as she began to drift off to sleep. Then suddenly she had tried to lunge out of the bed, but had found herself tangled in the bed furs. Yes of course the bronze answered his golden queen. He waited just long enough for Ria and a very confused S'nar to leap on before leaping off the ledge and flying, not drifting, down to the sands. By the time the trio had appeared Henareth had laid 5 beautiful eggs.
Cinenth carefully crooned to the queen and made his way slowly toward her hoping that he would be aloud to be by her side, but he knew that some queens were very protective of their eggs, even to their mates. S'nar had moved to wrap his arm gently around Ria's waist, but his hand was stopped by her's. He turned to look at her and smiled back with love covering his face, but his smile left when she mentioned the healer. "Okay. Then let's go. I guess I need to have Cinenth call Anton." Ci call the candidate healer. Have him meet us in our weyr Cinenth nodded a big dragon nod and sent the message along. S'nar then lifted Ria into his arms and gently carried ber back to their weyr to wait on Anton...

Henareth crooned to her mate, calling him closer. She did not mind him being on the hatching sands with her. In general, she was not broody and liked showing off her eggs to the humans and didn't mind having the other dragons look in on her, but she had to admit to herself that Cinenth was probably the only dragon she would allow on the sands with her. After all, these eggs were a part of him as well. Henareth crooned again at Ria's thoughts, which, though dull with shock, were clear. As Henareth's eggs had been instilled with life, so had one inside Ria. The only difference was that Ria would not lay her egg, rather she herself would become the egg, and Ria would have to be an egg much longer than hers did. She let her understanding meld over her link with Cinenth and also to S'nar. She could not read him as well as she did Ria, but she could still touch his thoughts and she doubted that he understood, with Ria as shocked as she was.
Ria let herself nod, still shocked that she might indeed have a baby, and with S'nar as the father. She was so happy at that moment. Anton had been the weyr healer for some two turns now, ever since his mother, one of the junior queens she thought, died due to a threadfall injurrie. Thankfully it was after the incident that Anton was sent here. Her mind was jerked away from its previous thoughts when S'nar scooped her into his arms. She giggled a little and wiggled her legs, "I can walk S'nar. I am not that ill. Actualy, I think that it would be good for me to walk." She wiggled her legs again, trying to entise him to set her down on her feet. It would be a bad idea, she thought, for him to try and carry her up the stairs to her ledge.

Ci moved up against the queen and crooned to her. He was here for her and would help her if he could. The thoughts from Henareth about Ria didn't make much sense to him, but he past them on to S'nar who sort of understood, but decided to wait and see what Anton said. "No I will carry you." he said, but then at her second wiggle, gently set her on the ground and wrapped his arm around her waist. As they walked he thought about the possibility that Ria could be pregnant. They reached their weyr and he motioned for her to sit on the bed...

Anton had been sitting in the lowercaverns having a cup of klah when a small voice spoke in his mind. For a moment he thought that he was crazy, and then relised what it was, a dragon. Cinenth he thouhgt. Briskly he strode over to the sinks and dumped out the rest of his klah, it had turned cold and was distastful anyway. Quickly he strode out of the lower caverns and ducked into the cantidates' barracks, grabbing up his medical bag, not knowing what awaited him there. His strides were long as he headed over to the steps that lead up to the queen's weyr. He had attended councel in there at one point in time, but that had been before the other weyrs had dissapeared. Anton became excited when the ledge was empty and then when the inner weyr was empty. The eggs must be being laid, soon the new dragonets would hatch out. Would he find a bond partner? On quick feet, Anton walked to the curtains of the sleeping chamber. "Weyrleader, S'nar, you sommoned me?"

Ria smiled as S'nar sat her down on her own two feet. She reached down and clasped the hand that had gone around her waist. She still felt a little shocked at the thought. She had avoided becoming pregnant for so many turns. With thread she hadn't let herself think of it. Pregnancy would have put her out of the flying numers, and she and Henareth had been the only queen pair capable of the midair rescues for wing damaged dragons. Also, the threads constantly threatened her life and she would not orphan a child, not like she had been. As they got up into the weyr, she smiled at the protective nature of S'nar, as he motioned her down to the sleeping couch. She abliged though, starting to feel sick again, though it wasn't as bad as it had been earlier. She smiled as she heard the soft scuff of boots on the stone floor outside their weyr. S'nar had lost no time in calling the healer after she had relented to seeing a him. With a small smile, she called through the hanging curtains, "Come in, Anton."

S'nar had sat on the bed with Ria, but when Anton knocked and Ria invited him in he stood and went to the healer. "Ria has not been feeling well for the last few seven days. If you speak to her, she can tell you more." he said as he walked with Anton back to the bed.

Anton heard the call of the weyrwoman and entered through the curtain. He felt aquard in the presence of the two weyrleaders. It was strange that he towered over the two most important people in the weyr. The weyrleader must be worried, Anton desided for him to jump up to "escort" the healer across the room. Anton bowed to the weyrwoman as they drew near the bed. She didn't look good, with her skin tinged that sickly green, but her eyes had a certain look in them, something he had seen often. Anton smiled at S'nar, "Don't fret yourself, Weyrleader. I doubt that there is anything seriously wrong with her. Would you mind stepping outside so that I can talk to the weyrwoman in private?" He doubted that it mattered, but it was better to talk to his patents in private.

Ria smiled at the way Anton entered, looking like he wished he was shorter. S'nar's jumppiness made her smile though. He was so protective that she doubted that he would listen to Anton. She would probably have to help renforce that. The way he smiled made her thing that he might have a clue about what was really up. She smiled weakly at both men, the nausia just a scratch at the back of her mind, even though she felt like she had been doused in hot sea water. "Morning, Anton." She wondered then what she could tell Anton besides that she felt like throwing up? There was no fever or achs, besides the one in her stomack. Well, he would know what questions to ask. After all, he was the healer.

S'nar stood still when the slightly younger man asked him to leave. His brow furrowed and the corners of his mouth turned down at the request, but upon a slight look from his mate, turned on his heel and went out of the room. He went and sat on the ledge and watched the weyr bustle below him...

Anton smiled at the way S'nar looked. He was in full resentment of the idea of leaving his weyrmate. Anton didn't fully understand the permancy of the bond, but he did understand that it was strong. He silently praised that Ria passed on that look. She would be fine with him. He pulled up a stool so that he could sit across from Ria where she was seated on the bed. (OOC:// We will just say that Anton asked Ria all the questions, because, seeings as I am not trained in this, I do not know the questions he would ask.) Anton sat back in the chair and smiled at Ria. "Well, Weyrwoman, may I be the first to congradulate you? You are going to have a baby." He smiled at her, suspecting that she had already known. He stood then and smiled down at her. "Take it easy, Weyrwoman. The sickness will abate soon and you will feel more yourself again. I will check up on you every once and a while to see how you are doing. Healer's orders though, from now on until the child is born, you are grounded and forbiden from between. I will send in the Weyrleader as I leave. Congradulations." He left through the curtain, leaving the werywoman seated on the bed. Ass he passed S'nar, he stopped, "Thank you for your passience. The weyrwoman will be fine in a couple of days. She has my instructions. I suggest you let her explain." With that he went down the stairs and back to his duties.
